I Back Up Your Photos So You Don't Have To
Here's a fact nobody wants to think about until it's too late: hard drives die. Phones get dropped in pools. "The cloud" is not actually a cloud, it's someone else's computer, and someone else's computer can fail too.
This is exactly why, after every single session, your images don't live in one place. They get backed up, redundantly, in more than one location so that a dead drive or a lost laptop isn't the thing standing between you and the photos from your daughter's newborn session, or the headshots you need for that speaking gig next month.
I keep your files archived long after the gallery link stops working in your inbox. That's not me being precious about my own work (okay, maybe a little) it's because "can you resend that one photo from two years ago" is a completely normal, human request, and I'd rather already have the answer than make you feel bad for asking.
So if you're the type who backs up nothing and hopes for the best: that's fine, actually. That's what I'm here for. Go enjoy your life. I've got the files.
(If you ever do need something pulled from the archive, there's a small retrieval fee — but the point is, it's always there to pull.)
