Frame it.

I've been on a bit of an organization spree lately.

It started with my closet: I hit the old 'I don't have anything to wear' wall... which is weird, because my closet is objectively full.

The problem? It's a jumble of things I've collected over the years: a wedding dress I've been 'about to donate' for twenty-six years, cross country skis that haven't seen snow since I moved to Florida, and winter gear I'm absolutely keeping because the moment I let it go is the moment the perfect mountain trip falls into my lap.

Eventually, all those things turned into a closet so full that just getting dressed in the morning felt like a battle.

And it turns out the camera roll on my phone has the same problem.

Last week I went looking for a good photo of my cats to finally get framed, and twenty minutes later I was still scrolling... past approximately four hundred screenshots of recipes I will never cook, a collection of behind-the-scenes at photoshoots that I never remember to post, and somewhere north of one frillion near-identical photos of the cats themselves, none of which they would consider acceptable portraiture. Thousands of photos, and very few would look good hanging on a wall.

All these photos made sense at the time, but because they've piled up, the ones that really matter are buried deep and hard to find.

That's a big part of why I do what I do as a photographer: professional photos, made and edited with care, that you will actually see and enjoy every day... on the wall, in an album, or in a frame on a grandparent's nightstand.

So here's my little challenge for you this holiday season: pick one photo (from your phone, or from a past session with me) and get it off the screen and into your home. Print it, frame it, and give it to someone you love.

And if you go looking and realize you don't have that photo yet... well, you know how to reach me!

P.S. My last day for family sessions is December 12th, and the last day to order holiday cards is December 16th. Just get in touch and I can help you figure out next steps!
